The Intel UHF RFID Transceiver R1000 sets a new standard for high integration,
incorporating the complete transmit, receive, modulation, demodulation and baseband
functions into one chip. This high level of integration significantly reduces design complexity by integrating up to 90% of the components required in a traditional discrete radio design.
Intel’s new highly integrated UHF RFID transceiver chip and software deliver the key building blocks for the full range of UHF RFID readers, including everything from short-range embedded modules to long-range dock door readers. The flexible architecture allows easy design for mono-static or bi-static operation; low output power using the integrated power amplifier (PA); high output power using an external PA; and built-in optimization for dense reader environments. By reducing the complexity of UHF RFID reader designs, the Intel R1000 drives down the costs of design and manufacturing — enabling high-performance readers at lower price points.
