Theseus® Titanium 40 devices are designed for smart card applications, including Subscriber Identity Modules (SIM, U-SIM), identification cards, and financial applications. SST® smart card devices can be used in any situation where information needs to be stored securely.
SST uses industry-standard processors, including the 8051 microprocessor core.
These products also use SST SuperFlash® non-volatile memory technology, providing the following benefits:
• Faster time to market
• Flexible memory architecture
• Greater security
SuperFlash is designed as user-configurable memory, which allows the smart card code developer to configure device memory to store code or data. The uniform page-size design allows code efficiency to translate into extra data space. Plus, the flexibility and inherent security of flash technology translates into greater security for storing information and reacting quickly to new standards or opportunities.
